FAQs

How do I organise with my Gumtree seller (or buyer)?

Once you have agreed to a trade on Gumtree, obtain the pick up address (or delivery destination) and inform them you’re booking a Sendle courier for shipping. You'll still need to confirm any agreed payments or details prior to the scheduled pick up time.

 

I'm the seller

To organise delivery to a buyer simply go to your Sendle account and complete a booking as normal. We recommend checking out our help center for further help with sending your first parcel: Getting started with Sendle

Who is responsible for the item?

Familiarise yourself with Gumtree’s advice on postage and safe trading here. All item descriptions and transactions remain the responsibility of Gumtree buyers and sellers like any face-to-face trade, so ensure you are clear on expectations, payment and shipping details. I'm the buyer

To organise a pickup from the seller you will need to book the label with the Gumtree seller's pickup address and have them confirm the parcel size (weight and volume) and pickup date. Then, email the label to them along with these guidelines:
- print and  label the parcel
- follow our packaging guidelines
- be ready for pickup as per our Sendle pickup process
