Important update on U.S. tariff and customs changes — May 2025

From May 2 2025, the United States is introducing significant changes to its tariff rates and customs procedures for imported goods. These new regulations affect shipments arriving from a number of countries, most notably for items originating from China and Hong Kong, and include additional duties and rigorous customs processing requirements.

At this stage, the situation is still evolving as authorities implement the new measures, and shipping carriers adjust their processes accordingly. As a result, international deliveries to the U.S. are expected to experience longer transit times. With these changes, we may see more instances of receivers being asked to pay additional duties, taxes, or fees before their parcel can be released for final delivery.

We understand this may cause inconvenience and uncertainty for customers, and we’re actively working with our shipping partners to minimise disruptions wherever possible. We’ll continue to monitor the situation closely and provide further updates as more information becomes available.
