Parcel delivery relies heavily on the production, availability and price of fuel. Since Sendle began in 2014, we’ve never before passed on a fuel levy. But, like any business, we’re not immune to inflated fuel costs.
Sendle's variable rate fuel surcharge will be reviewed every two weeks, meaning it may go up, down, stay the same or be removed entirely.

Why a surcharge rather than embedding the fee within the base price to send your parcel? We think that part of doing fair business is to be clear about how we do it, not just how much something will cost – no nasty surprises is, after all, one of your Sendler Rights.
In the Sendle dashboard, you’ll see the fuel surcharge as a line item in your Order Summary when you send a parcel. If you’re using an eCommerce integration to send with us, the surcharge will be included in your total shipping cost. If maths is your thing, the fuel surcharge is calculated using the formula: Base price + surcharge + taxes = TOTAL
