100% Carbon Neutral Shipping

Keeping our planet and environment healthy.

What is carbon neutral?

Increased carbon dioxide (and equivalent)—CO2e—levels are a significant and harmful contributor to climate change.

Most people don't consider the environmental impact of their online shopping deliveries—just clickety-click and, like magic, it's on your doorstep. But the logistics involved generate a huge amount of CO2—over 10% of global CO2e emissions are from transport and logistics.

Being carbon neutral means that your net release of CO2e into the atmosphere is zero.

Basically, whatever CO2e you emit is canceled out by a process known as 'offsetting'—that is, supporting projects that reduce emissions, like regenerating precious forest, replacing old equipment with more efficient technology, or even training communities in beekeeping!

Consumers are becoming better informed and more aware of the environmental impact of products and the services supporting them. 92% of customers are more likely to trust a company that supports social or environmental issues. Download this sticker and display online or in store to let your customers know of the impact they are having!

We were founded as the first 100% carbon neutral delivery service in Canada, Australia, the U.S., and we maintain that commitment to this day.

Because at Sendle we believe that sending a parcel shouldn’t cost the earth.

How do we offset?

The boring part

Sendle calculates the highest amount of carbon that could be generated by any given parcel send. This generates a carbon yield number. Using that number as a guide, we use a portion of each parcel cost to fund sustainability projects via South Pole.

The awesome part

This partnership enables us to support genuinely world-changing initiatives aimed at preserving and regenerating natural ecosystems, whether it’s restoring endangered rainforest habitats or providing clean water access for communities in Africa. By doing so, we ensure that all Sendle deliveries have a net carbon footprint of zero. Actually zero!

How you can get involved

Every year, Sendle's community of business owners are given the chance to vote on which projects will offset Sendle's carbon emissions for the next 12 months.

Our projects

Learn more about the environmental projects supported by Sendle and the community of Sendlers.

Klawock Heenya

( United States )

Covering 8,619 acres of forest in Southeastern Alaska, this project aims to re-establish young growth stands of timber via natural generation while maintaining water quality and conserving critical wildlife habitat. This project allows the forest to progress naturally while providing significant climate benefits through carbon sequestration.

Tasmanian Forest

( Australia )

Protecting pockets of native forests in Tasmania’s Central Highlands since 2009. By stopping logging and land degradation, the project prevents stored carbon from being released. The vibrant forest creates economic opportunities for ecotourism, improves water quality, and protects wild species like the Tasmanian Wedge-Tailed Eagle, found nowhere else.

Mount Sandy

( Australia )

The Mount Sandy project permanently protects a rare pocket of wetlands and woodlands between the Coorong National Park and Lake Albert in partnership with its Traditional Owners, the Ngarrindjeri. As one of the last remaining areas of native vegetation in the region, the land forms a strategic corridor for wildlife, including the short-beaked echidna, purple-gaped honeyeater and elegant parrot.

Beidler Forest

( United States )

Native trees including longleaf pine, red maple, and water oak have been permanently conserved in this project owned and managed by the National Audubon Society in South Carolina. The National Audubon Society of South Carolina has protected 5,500 acres where many birds, including the stunning eastern Painted Bunting, call home. These birds are just one species threatened by habitat loss.
